Roger Przytulski found plenty of opportunities to enrich his musical aspirations. At the age of 10, Roger started taking lessons in Saxophone. After many years of playing in wind ensembles, jazz bands, and singing in choirs, Roger went on to receive an Associate of Arts Degree from Palomar College where he began his studies in composition.
Roger received his Bachelor of Music degree in Composition at California State University, Long Beach where he studied composition with Martin Herman, Bruce Miller, and John Prince, and saxophone with Leo Potts. As a composer Roger has written for many ensembles including the CSU Long Beach Orchestra and has received commissions from the saxophone quartet Saxtet, and the Pacific Horn Quartet.
Following his graduation from Long Beach State, Roger enrolled into the University of Southern California Thorton School of Music in pursuit of a Masters degree in Composition. Roger is now a private saxophone and clarinet instructor in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. In November of 2002, Roger's composition "BLITZ" will be performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
